34th Children's October Salon-1998 IYO

The national Programme of co-operation based on the 1998 IYO was successfully fulfilled. The 34th Children's October Salon was celebrating two anniversatries: the 800 years of Monastery Hilandar (Serbian Monastery founded in 1198 on the Mount Atos in Greece) and the 1998 International Year of the Ocean. There were 130 children's works of art dedicated to the IYO and most of them were 2 dimension works of art, 83 of them but also there were 37 ceramics, some installations, and "papier-mache" works.

The Yugoslav post organisation jointly with the Jugomarka issued stamps. (see stamps)

My Ocean Charter was signed by 365 children. It was also published and translated in the newspaper which gets every school on regular basis.
