Qualification and Criteria
Contributions must be accepted by an Editorial Board, which in
the first implementation phase should be an ad-hoc Advisory Panel
composed of representatives of GSC and JCOMM. General quality
criteria will be defined on the basis of 'best practice'
considerations and documented scientific / technical qualifications.
Representatives from different stakeholders and users will be invited
to contribute examples of the application and use of GOOS products in
their specific domains of interest, plus comments on their
socio-economic impacts and their satisfaction with the products. The
term 'operationality' shall imply that the production process is
well-documented, so that QA audits are possible, and that there is an
active end user community responding to the usefulness of the
products.
Organizations, institutes, industries, or
private companies wishing to contribute data products and services to
the GOOS programme and to the Bulletin should contact the bulletin
editors. Contributions that are not already part of GOOS or a GOOS
affiliated programme will be directed to the appropriate regional
GOOS office for further details.
