The Eighth Session of the Consultative Group on Ocean Mapping will be held 10-15 May 2001, in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Consultative Group on Ocean Mapping is a subsidiary body of IOC for International Bathymetric Charts. Its main task is to provide the IOC Editorial Boards for regional bathymetric projects with guidelines and strategy for the implementation of these projects.
