NAMIBIA JOINS IOC

On 25 April 2001, the Republic of Namibia, through its Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, informed the UNESCO Director-General of its intent to become a Member State of the IOC of UNESCO.

In accordance with IOC Statutes, the Republic of Namibia has thus joined the IOC as from 25 April 2001.

We expect that an IOC Action Addressee will be nominated shortly.
