Trinidad and Tobago's IYO activities

The IYO exhibition was formally opened on 13 September 1998, by the Minister of the Environment from the Ministry of Planning and Development. This exhibition runs until 20 September.

Exhibits appended together with relevant statements form the National commission for UNESCO and the Institute of Marine Affairs:

  • Launch of the International Year of the Ocean (January 1997)
  • The first UNESCO Associated Schools Caribbean Sea Project Regional Environmental Workshop
  • Ocean 98-an exhibition done in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Affairs and the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard
  • Influenced the direction of the Annual Youth Camp of the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago. This camp produced songs.
