Statutory Meetings
There are three main kinds of statutory meetings in the IOC/UNESCO Governance:
- The IOC Assembly is the main governing body, including all Member States, and meets once per biennium.
- The Executive Council is composed of 40 Member States elected by the Assembly, and meets every year.
- The IOC Officers meet several times per year to consult with the Secretariat and prepare the IOC Assemblies and Executive Councils.
